New manager
Gareth Bale is thought to be set for a stay in Spain after the shocking managerial change at Real Madrid.
Following his stunning performance in the Champions League final, Bale made it clear he would look to leave the Spanish side this summer, after becoming unhappy with the lack of game time he was afforded by Zinedine Zidane – yet when Zidane quit his post, everything changed.
Bale is now willing to give the club and their new manager, Julen Lopetegui, a chance.
It’s not only because of the change in regime, but according to the Express, the fact Lopetegui speaks English is a huge plus for Bale, who has never taken to Spanish, despite trying to learn it upon arriving in Spain.
So much so, that when he wished fellow teammate Lucas Vazquez congratulations for the birth of his child on Twitter – in Spanish no less – he was mocked by Toni Kroos, who showed shock Bale was even using basic Spanish phrases.
The Welshman took the joke in his stride, and replied in hilarious fashion – but his Spanish skills are seriously lacking, and it was a problem under Zidane, given the Frenchman spoke little English.
Muchas Felicidades Lucas https://t.co/Tzz8boXaBc

Man United
The news will come as a blow for Man United, who are desperate to add to their forward line this summer – and a player like Bale would certainly fit the bill.
United have issues when it comes to Anthony Martial, after the comments made by the player’s agent heightened speculation over his Old Trafford future.
Mourinho could now turn to former club Chelsea once again, and explore the possibility of bringing Willian to United – with the Brazilian determined to leave Chelsea should Antonio Conte remain in charge.
